We’ve recently introduced Appointments 3.2 which allows the restricting of appointment slots by hours, age and or sex.
This means that appointments can be made for patients who meet the age/ sex criteria or if the hours restriction is no longer applicable e.g. 4 hours before the slot time.
These restrictions are currently only applicable for staff using Appointments within practices or shared care settings and not for online booking or Vision360 so presently, there is no notification of any restricted slots potentially being booked inappropriately.
An update will be released in August (to England users only) so that restricted slots are also displayed in PFS and Vision360 if and when applicable. In the meantime we advise that you do not make any slots with restrictions available for web booking. You can access our help guide for Appointments 3.2 here.
