** Scotland Only ** - Preferred Pharmacy and Registered CMS Pharmacy Both Printing on GP10 Prescription

Cegedim Healthcare Solutions has been made aware of an issue occurring for patients with both a preferred pharmacy and a registered CMS pharmacy recorded in Vision 3. Both address details are incorrectly being printed on the prescription when creating a new CMS (serial) prescription rather than just the address of the patient’s registered CMS pharmacy. The following is from an example script showing this, with the preferred pharmacy printed in small bold text and the registered CMS pharmacy printed in larger normal text.

Pharmacy Address(es)

This presents the potential for the patient’s practice to send their CMS prescription to the wrong pharmacy where the patient’s recorded preferred pharmacy is different than their recorded registered CMS pharmacy. This may result in a potential delay to a patient receiving their prescribed medication which may have adverse consequences for the patient concerned. The issue also results in reduced legibility of the patient’s recorded pharmacy address(es) printed on their prescription, even where these are the same.

We hope to have this issue resolved as soon as possible. In the meantime, we would ask that Vision 3 users remain vigilant about this when printing a new CMS prescription.

Cegedim Healthcare Solutions apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Many thanks for your co-operation with this matter.
