Coronavirus Update - England only (8th October 2021)
Maintenance/Booster Dose
We have successfully imported the backlog of maintenance/booster dose COVID vaccination data made available to us, for all practices, direct to the patients record as below:
-
Immunisation Entry of '65F0100 Administration of first dose of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine':
-
Medical History Entry of '65F0800 Immunisation course to maintain protection against SARS-CoV-2':
Note - Due to an issue with upstream systems you may not have received the full backlog of maintenance dose vaccinations. NHS Digital are working to resolve this and we will update you here when the outstanding data is sent.
Daily imports will now run for all primary and maintenance/booster dose COVID vaccination data from today (8th October) in line with NHS Digital's request and recent guidance published by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), see JCVI issues updated advice on COVID-19 booster vaccination.
Important - This excludes Moderna Half Dose at present, this data will be sent by NHS Digital when the process has been finalised. We will update you here when this is due to start.
For more information on the automatic import of COVID vaccination data, see Automatic Import of COVID Vaccination Data (England only).
Third Dose Immunosuppressed Vaccination Guidance
The specification for the third dose vaccinations is still being finalised by NHS Digital, in the meantime please see the guidance below:
Important - While all systems are being updated to include a third dose vaccination, NHS Digital have taken the decision to record these as a maintenance/booster dose. The same process, outlined above, is used for recording a third dose of the vaccine for Immunosuppressed patients. We are awaiting further information from NHS Digital with regards to any future changes. See JCVI issues advice on third dose vaccination for severely immunosuppressed for more information.
