We are writing to advise you of a temporary change of availability of the TrueYou test strips product in the Gemscript drug dictionary used by Vision products. This change may affect your practice prior to the deployment of the June 2020 Gemscript release.
Post-deployment of the May 2020 Gemscript release, the TrueYou test strips product is not electronically prescribable using Vision products as a consequence of having been marked as discontinued in the NHS Dictionary of Medicines and Devices (dm+d) produced by the NHS Business Authority. The June 2020 Gemscript release reverses this by reinstating TrueYou test strips as electronically prescribable and we will get it to you as soon as we are able.
In the meantime, users with the May 2020 Gemscript release installed can prescribe TrueYou test strips via the issue of a handwritten prescription. Any such prescriptions that have been hand written can then be added to Vision 3 or Vision Anywhere once the June 2020 Gemscript Release has been received.
