In view of the absence of a code for recording household contacts of patients shielding from coronavirus (COVID-19) in the previously issued PRIMIS Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Uptake Reporting Specification version, we advised Vision users to record such individuals using the code 65R6. “Shielding of household to prevent exposure of uninfected subject to contagion” (SNOMED concept 1321141000000100). PRIMIS have now updated their specification to include the code 13Zr. “Lives with immunocompromised person” (SNOMED concept 527401000000103) and have advised that household contacts of shielding patients should be recorded using this code. In response to this, Vision requests that users code such patients to 13Zr. rather than 65R6. going forward. It will not be necessary to recode any previous entries coded to 65R6.
