Welsh Data Centre Move - Phase 2 - Wales Only

Following the successful completion of the first preparatory activity (last two weekends, where practices hosted in Newport data centre moved to the London data centre), the next activity will take place on Thursday 6th October 2022 between 7pm and 11pm with the failover of the Common Services, Vision 360, Vision Anywhere, MHOL and WGPR and these services will be unavailable during the times stated.

Then on the weekend of Friday 14th October to Sunday 16th of October 2022 work will be done to transfer infrastructure from the Newport data centre to London. No disruption to services is expected, however local business continuity plans should be checked. Check Vision Business Continuity for further guidance on using Vision Anywhere for Business continuity.

We are pleased to advise you that the second phase of the Vision services move from the current data centre in Newport to the London Data Centre is due to take place over two weekends starting on the 25th of September 2022 and completing on 2^nd October 2022.

As outlined in an email from Digital Heath and Care Wales (DHCW) on the 18th January. Cegedim will begin our withdrawal from the current Newport Data Centre and begin the transition of Vision services over to our London Data Centre over 3 weekends starting the 6th of February 2022.
