We are pleased to announce we have a new RCP National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS2) Calculator available now to all Vision+ users.
The NEWS2 Calculator works on a simple aggregate scoring system where a score is allocated to physiological measurements already recorded during routine practice.
Patients with an acute illness may develop an acutely altered mental state, manifesting as new confusion, delirium or a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) <15. This is an important sign of critical clinical deterioration requiring urgent clinical assessment.
To access the NEWS2 calculator, from Consultation Manager, select Vision+ from the floating toolbar and select Calculators - Other - NEWS2.
