Cegedim Healthcare Solutions has been notified that pholcodine-containing cough and cold medicines are being withdrawn from the UK market as a precaution following a Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) review.
This change will be reflected by the inclusion of an associated toxicity warning within the next Gemscript release planned to be deployed during April 2023 for availability within Vision for prescribing. We will get this Gemscript release to you as soon as we are able.
