Cegedim Healthcare Solutions has been made aware of an issue whereby if a weight is recorded for a patient in Vision Anywhere, only the weight is written back to Vision 3. An updated BMI (based on the new weight) is not calculated by Vision Anywhere. No BMI value is written back to Vision 3.
- If no previous BMI exists in Vision 3, the BMI value in Vision 3 will remain blank.
- If a previous calculated BMI exists for the patient in Vision 3, this will not be overwritten during the writeback, meaning that there will be a discrepancy in Vision 3 between the newly recorded weight and the previously calculated BMI value.
These scenarios could potentially result in inappropriate clinical management, for example, patients being inappropriately excluded from/included in vaccination cohorts on the basis of either a missing BMI value or the out-of-date/incorrect Vision 3 BMI record value.
Development and testing of a fix is underway that will resolve this issue once implemented.
