Wales - Vision Anywhere 3.3 Windows General Release

We are pleased to confirm that the new release of Vision Anywhere is now being delivered to all practices in Wales.

The new release is faster to help improve your practice's efficiency, and we've also added a raft of new features including:

• SNOMED CT - Is now the primary terminology for data entry in Vision Anywhere. Native SNOMED CT data is recorded and mapped to a Read code to view in Vision 3. Speed and accuracy when searching for clinical terms have improved as a result.

• Prescription Management - You can now print both acute and repeat medications on the same prescription, reprint prescriptions, use the new print prescriptions page, print repeat reorder forms, add notes to prescriptions for the patient or dispenser, print up to four items on one prescription.  Note - 2DRX prescriptions are not currently issued.

• Clinical Calculators - BMI, diabetes risk and DOSE index can now be accessed from your screen.

• Clinical Templates - We are introducing the framework for using clinical data entry templates from Outcomes Manager. This will help standardise data entry and put you on the right track for developing a population health management strategy.

• Referral Letters - You can create referral letters with merged patient data using your existing templates in Vision 3. For shared care, please send any templates you have created in Vision 3 which you would like to use across your shared care service to VATemplates@Visionhealth.co.uk. Note - WCCG integration will be released at a future date.  

• Prescriber Security Rights - Any prescribing restrictions on printing, re-authorising and reprinting configured in Vision 3 Control Panel have now also been applied to Vision Anywhere. 

• New Upgrade Process - We have made the Vision Anywhere upgrade process simpler. You will be asked if you would like to run the installation when a new upgrade is available, and then simply follow the installation wizard. The new process doesn't need administrator access to the workstation.
